ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Sam.
I’m a qualified yoga teacher and menopause coach, and I support women who want to feel more at ease in their bodies — especially through the shifting landscape of midlife.
I first found yoga after years of feeling like traditional fitness just didn’t suit me. I’d gathered a few injuries and a sense that I was constantly pushing rather than listening. Yoga offered something different: a way to build strength and flexibility with kindness, curiosity, and respect for my body. It felt like a place where I could breathe again.
Like many women, my practice has ebbed and flowed through different chapters of life. Each time I’ve returned to the mat, it has reminded me how grounding it feels to have even a small pocket of space that’s just for me — a moment to reconnect, reset, and come home to myself.
Eventually, that pull became strong enough that I trained to teach. I almost talked myself out of it. I worried I wasn’t “good enough,” that my injuries would hold me back, or that I was too shy to stand in front of a room. But I showed up anyway. Since then, I’ve continued learning with further training in Yin Yoga, yoga nidra, somatic movement, and menopause support. The more I study, the more I realise there’s always more to explore — and I love that.
My teaching has evolved alongside my own life. These days, I’m drawn to practices that are gentle, grounding, and deeply supportive. I encourage students to listen to their bodies, honour their energy, and move in ways that feel nourishing rather than demanding. My classes are friendly, accessible, and paced with care. Props are always welcome, rest is always encouraged, and there’s usually a calming soundtrack in the background.
My work as a menopause coach grew naturally from the women I was already supporting. So many of us reach midlife feeling stretched thin, overwhelmed, or disconnected from ourselves. Yoga and coaching together offer a powerful way to rebuild trust in your body, understand what it needs, and navigate this chapter with more steadiness and self‑compassion.
Life can be full and fast. My hope is that when you step into a class or a coaching session with me, you feel a sense of exhale — a place to soften, reconnect, and remember that you deserve care too.
Warmly,
Sam
